GANDHISM AND IT'S RELEVANCE TODAY

 

What today's kids think after hearing  Mahatma Gandhi's name is just the holiday for Gandhi Jayanti .

So how would the future generations remember Gandhi, is it going to be just through the history books or the ideologies and values that he has embraced this world with?

His values are so revolutionary and relevant that President of India Ramnath Kovind expressed in one of his addressing that Gandhian values are relevant ,not only for today's generation but would continue to do so for further many decades and might aswell be able to address the contemporary world issues like terrorism corruption.

In our history books we all recall how Gandhiji upheld satyagraha and non violence movements but there are many of his other values which we need to inculcate in all of us 

Integrity : Gandhiji is one of the greatest examples of integrity we have seen in modern times, and there are many stories about his life that demonstrate the power of teaching this character trait of him --all of know the story wherein he returns a boy along with his mother who turns up on him to help is child getting rid of eating sugar but he doesn't speak to the child until he himself overcomes the same addiction.

Secularism and Equality: Gandhi was a man who welcomed all the religions and made everyone else understand we need to stop discriminating on the basis of social and economic aspects specially in country like India. Each individual commands respect and it only fair to give it to them .

Simplicity and humility : Though being the one with thousands of followers and winning hearts of citizens he was the most humble and kind person.

"Live simply so others can simply live." 

Lets just embrace and learn the ideologies of Gandhi ; if Munnabhai can understand it's worth why can't we ?

Let just not make him the person whom we see on a 500Rs note but instead value how good leader and revolutionary he and his values are. Try understanding his ideologies and make others understand it's worth.
